M W <br />Tuesday, October 3, 1995 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 3, 1995, <br />at 9:00 a.m. Present were Kenneth R. Macht, Chairman; Fran B. <br />Adams, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and John W. Tippin. Absent <br />was Carolyn K. Eggert, who was recuperating from knee surgery. <br />Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles <br />P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Marilyn Rieger of Unity Church of Vero Beach gave the <br />invocation, and Administrator Chandler led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />Chairman Macht announced that Commissioner Eggert expects to <br />be released today from Shands Hospital and be back in Vero Beach <br />tonight at the Healthsouth Treasure Coast Rehabilitation Hospital <br />to recuperate from knee surgery. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />None <br />PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />Proclamation - Residents' Rights Week 1995 <br />Chaintiaz Macht read aloud the following proclamation and <br />presented it to Mary Gerdetz, Ombudsman for Indian River County, <br />Long-term Care Ombudsman Council, District 9: <br />OCTOBER 3, 1995 <br />
