RESOLUTION 2022- 025 <br />WHEREAS, this Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the health, <br />safety and welfare of the citizens of Indian River County, Florida to support funding <br />sources for the design and construction of a new medical examiner facility as set out <br />above. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />1. This Board adopts and ratifies those matters set forth in the foregoing recitals. <br />2. The County Administrator is directed to enter into discussions with the other <br />District 19 Counties, the Medical Examiner and the Trustees leading to an <br />agreement to conduct a needs assessment, design and construct a new medical <br />examiner facility to be located on the campus of Indian River State College in <br />Fort Pierce, Florida. <br />3. The County Administrator is directed to support and submit requests for state <br />and federal funding to assist in funding the cost of designing and constructing a <br />new medical examiner facility. <br />4. This resolution shall take effect upon adoption. <br />This resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Earman , and <br />the motion was seconded by Commissioner O'Bryan and upon being put to a <br />vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Peter D.
