MOK 96 PACE 312 <br />Commissioner Tippin advised the Treasure Coast Council of <br />Governments made a legislative list several weeks ago and it does <br />include most of these items. That list also included the <br />adjustment of homestead exemption. He felt the lists must be kept <br />before the Legislature and that, at a later time, some prioritizing <br />of the list will need to be done. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) unanimously <br />directed County Attorney Vitunac and OMB Director <br />Baird to present the listed items as amended to the <br />local Legislative Delegation on October 18, 1995. <br />1996 FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES' LEGISLATIVE = <br />PROGRAM <br />The Board reviewed a handout regarding the November 29 - <br />December 1, 1995, FAC 1996 Legislative Conference to be held in <br />Tallahassee, Florida. <br />FAC 1996 Legislative Conference <br />November 29 - December 1 <br />Florida State Conference Center <br />Tallabassee; Florida <br />Congress is in a heated debate about its "partner- <br />ship" with state and local governments.
