Commissioner Bird advised that the maintenance will be minimal <br />on the picnic facilities and docks on Boat Club Island. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that the campers who participated in <br />the Great Summer Escape Camp sponsored by Leisure Square are <br />requesting the name of "Lake Big Foot". <br />In answer to Commissioner Adams' question, Public Works <br />Director Jim Davis advised that Item #3 would not affect the <br />Archery Club's lease. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird,; SECONDED by <br />- Commissioner Tippin, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent) approved the <br />recommendations of the Parks & Recreation Committee <br />as set out in the above memo. <br />LOCAL OPTION GAS TAX REVENUE DISTRIBUTION <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/6/95: <br />TO: James E. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />Ct-? <br />SUBJECT: Meeting with Municipalities Regarding Local Option Gas Tax Revenue <br />Distribution <br />REF. LEITER: Jim Davis to City Managers dated August 25, 1995 <br />DATE: October 6, 1995 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The County's six cent Local Option Gas Tax (LOGT) program expires August 31, <br />1996 and must be re -authorized by local ordinance prior to June 1, 1996. Since <br />the County's original adoption of the program in 1986, the County has shared the <br />revenue by interlocal agreements with the five municipalities within the County <br />using the following mutually agreed upon formula. <br />"The percentage of total revenue allocated to each eligible entity <br />equals one-third (1/3) of the entity's percentage of total equivalent land <br />miles of road plus one-third (%) of the entity's percentage of <br />transportation expenditures over the previous five (5) years plus one- <br />third (1/3) of the entity's total percentage of population residing in the <br />area based upon the population from the Florida Bureau of Economic <br />and Business Research." <br />44 600K 96 FAF.�5 <br />OCTOBER 17, 1995 <br />L <br />
