Division 1— General Requirements, IRC -1639 <br />E. All submittals shall bear the stamp of approval and signature of CONTRACTOR as <br />evidence that they have been reviewed by CONTRACTOR. Submittals without this <br />stamp of approval will not be reviewed by the ENGINEER and will be returned to <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />F. Assign a number to each submittal starting with No. 1 and thence numbered <br />consecutively. Identify resubmittals by the original submittal number followed by <br />the suffix "A" for the first resubmittal, the suffix "B" for the second resubmittal, <br />etc. <br />G. Initially submit to ENGINEER a minimum of two (2) copies of all submittals that are <br />on 11 -inch by 17 -inch or smaller sheets (no less than 8 1/2 -inch x 11 -inch). <br />H. After ENGINEER completes his review, Shop Drawings will be marked with one of <br />the following notations: <br />1. Approved <br />2. Approved as Noted <br />3. NOT Approved - Resubmit <br />If a submittal is acceptable, it will be marked "Approved" or "Approved as Noted". <br />One (1) electronic copy of the submittal will be returned to CONTRACTOR. <br />J. Upon return of a submittal marked "Approved" or "Approved as Noted", <br />CONTRACTOR may order, ship or fabricate the materials included on the <br />submittal, provided it is in accordance with the corrections indicated. <br />K. If a submittal is unacceptable, one (1) copy will be returned to CONTRACTOR with <br />following notation, "NOT Approved - Resubmit". <br />L. Upon return of a submittal marked "NOT Approved - Resubmit", make the <br />corrections indicated and repeat the initial approval procedure. Upon return of a <br />submittal so marked, repeat the initial approval procedure utilizing acceptable <br />material or equipment. <br />M. Work shall not be performed nor equipment installed without an ENGINEER <br />"Approved" or "Approved as Noted" Shop Drawing. <br />N. Submit Shop Drawings well in advance of the need for the material or equipment <br />for construction and with ample allowance for the time required to make delivery <br />of material or equipment after data covering such is approved. CONTRACTOR <br />shall assume the risk for all materials or equipment which is fabricated or <br />delivered prior to the approval of Shop Drawings. Materials or equipment <br />requiring Shop Drawings which have not yet received approval by the ENGINEER <br />shall not be installed on the project.
