Division 1— General Requirements, IRC -1639 <br />SECTION 01710 - SITE CLEANUP AND RESTORATION <br />1.1 SCOPE <br />Furnish all labor, equipment, appliances, and materials required or necessary to clean up <br />and restore the site after the construction is completed. <br />1.2 REQUIREMENTS <br />A. During the progress of the project, keep the work and the adjacent areas affected <br />thereby in a neat and orderly condition. Remove all rubbish, surplus materials, <br />and unused construction equipment. Repair all damage so that the public and <br />property owners will be inconvenienced as little as possible. <br />B. Provide onsite containers for the collection of waste materials, debris, and rubbish <br />and empty such containers in a legal manner when they become full. <br />C. Where material or debris has been deposited in watercourses, ditches, gutters, <br />drains, or catch -basins as a result of the CONTRACTOR's operations, such material <br />or debris shall be entirely removed and satisfactorily disposed of during the <br />progress of the work, and the ditches, channels, drains, etc., shall be kept clean <br />and open at all times. <br />D. Before the completion of the project, unless otherwise especially directed or <br />permitted in writing: <br />Tear down and remove all temporary buildings and structures; <br />Remove all temporary works, tools, and machinery, or other construction <br />equipment furnished; <br />Remove all rubbish from any grounds occupied; and <br />4. Leave the roads, all parts of the premises, and adjacent property affected <br />by construction operations, in a neat and satisfactory condition. <br />Restore or replace any public or private property damaged by construction work, <br />equipment, or employees, to a condition at least equal to that existing <br />immediately prior to the beginning of the operations. To this end, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall restore all highway, roadside, and landscaping work within any <br />right-of-way, platted or prescriptive. Acceptable materials, equipment, and <br />methods shall be used for such restoration. <br />Thoroughly clean all materials and equipment installed and on completion of the <br />work, deliver the facilities undamaged and in fresh and new -appearing condition. <br />G. It is the intent of the Specifications to place the responsibility on the CONTRACTOR <br />to restore to their original condition all items disturbed, destroyed, or damaged <br />during construction.
