RESOLUTION No.Z,4iQ <br />WHEREAS, this Board has adopted a Mechanical Code for Indian <br />River County, Florida; and, <br />WHEREAS. said Ordinance provides that this Board establish a <br />schedule of Fees for Permits issued under said Ordinance, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, 'that the following <br />schedule of Fees is hereby established for the issuing of Mechanical Permits: <br />MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES <br />(a) For issuing each Permit $3.00 <br />(b) (1) Fee for Heating, Ventilating, Duct, <br />Air Conditioning and Refreigeration <br />Systems shall be ten ($10.00) Dollars <br />PLUS two ($2.00) Dollars per each one <br />thousand ($1, 000.00) Dollars or fraction <br />thereof. <br />(2) Repairs, alterations and additions to <br />an existing system where cost is over five <br />hundred ($500.00) dollars shall be two <br />($2. 00) Dollars or fraction thereof in <br />valuation plus five ($5. 00) dollars. <br />(c) Fee for Re -Inspection. In case it becomes <br />necessary to make a re -inspection of a <br />Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning <br />or Refrigeration System, the installer of <br />such equipment shall pay a Re-Inspectioh <br />Fee of Five ($5. 00) Dollars. <br />t <br />(d) Temporary Operation Inspection Fee; <br />For inspecting a Heating, Ventilating, <br />Refrigeration, or Air Conditioning System, <br />a fee of Five ($5.00) Dollars shall be paid <br />by the Contractor requesting such inspection. <br />If the system is not approved for temporary <br />operation on the first inspection, for each <br />subsequent inspection for such purpose, the <br />usual Re -inspection Fee will be charged. <br />(e) In all buildings except one and two family <br />dwellings using self-contained Air Conditioning <br />Units less than two tons, the fee charged <br />shall be that for the total tonnage of all units <br />combined (see Paragraph (a) above for rate). <br />Minimum fee shall be ten ($10. 00) Dollars. <br />(f) Boilers based on BTU Input: <br />33, 000 BTU (1 BHP) to 165, 000 (5 BHP) $ 5. 00 <br />165, 001 BTU (5BHP) to 330, 000 (10 BHP)$] 0. 00 <br />
