74 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />HONORING LONN DAVID BENHAM ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES FIRE RESCUE DIVISION <br />WHEREAS, Lonn Benham retires from the Indian River County Department of <br />Emergency Services Fire Rescue Division effective June 30, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, Lonn was hired as a Firefighter on October 2, 1990 and obtained his EMT <br />certification the following month; and, <br />WHEREAS, Lonn achieved his Open Water Diver certification on September 27, <br />1991 and by March 8, 1996 was promoted to Driver/Engineer; and, <br />WHEREAS, Lonn earned his Paramedic designation on March 21, 2001 and was <br />promoted to Lieutenant on July 6, 2001; and, <br />WHEREAS, in 2013, Lonn rose to the status of Captain on May 10' and soon was <br />honored with the position of Battalion Chief on July 26, 2013 in which capacity he has <br />served until his retirement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />applauds Lonn Benham's efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to <br />express their appreciation for the exemplary service he has given to Indian River <br />County for the last thirty-one years; and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners and <br />staff extend their heartfelt wishes for success in his future endeavors! <br />Adopted this June 21, 2022. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Peter D.
