PR0CLAMA TION <br />HONORING SIGLINDE PRESTON ON HER RETIREMENT FROM <br />INDIAN RIVER CO UNTY BOARD OF CO UNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES, LIBRAR Y SER VICES <br />DIVISION <br />WHEREAS, Siglinde Preston has announced her retirement from the Indian River <br />County Department of General Services, Library Services Division effective July 21, <br />2022; and <br />WHEREAS, Siglinde Preston began her career with Indian River County on May 6, <br />1991, as a Temporary Full-time Library Technical Assistant through a grant and <br />became a permanent employee in that position six months later. She received her first <br />promotion in July 1997, to a Library Associate II position. In February 2000 she received <br />her final promotion to a Librarian I and held thatposition until her retirement. Over the <br />span of her career, Siglinde worked and contributed to multiple departments of the <br />Indian River County Library System, most notably her work as the Law Library Liaison; <br />all while earning her AS Degree in Library Information and Technology from Indian <br />River Community College, her BS in Organizational Management from Warner <br />University and her Masters in Public Administration from Troy State University, and <br />WHEREAS, Siglinde Preston has served this County and Public with distinction and <br />selflessness. During her thirty-one (31) years of service, she was dedicated, and <br />appreciated by her employer, citizens, and co-workers alike; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />applauds Siglinde Preston's efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to <br />express their appreciation for the dedicated service she has given to Indian River County; <br />and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners and staff <br />extend heartfelt wishes for success in her future endeavors! <br />Adopted this 12th day of July 2022. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIANRIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Peter D.
