Box 650495 <br />Vero Beach, FL 32965-0495 <br />Director Keating reviewed the process and introduced a <br />representative from the consultant's office, Robert Johnson of <br />Clark, Roumelis and Associates, Consultants. <br />Robert Johnson explained the 4 grant categories: (1) housing <br />rehabilitation; (2) neighborhood revitalization; (3) commercial <br />revitalization; and (4) economic development and advised that the <br />County is eligible up to $750,000 in any of the 4 categories but <br />that the consultant is recommending the neighborhood revitalization <br />category. <br />Chairman Macht questioned the economic development category, <br />and Director Keating stated that a specific business or industry <br />must be coming in with a certain number of jobs. This category <br />will be used with the new industrial park. <br />Commissioner Adams inquired whether the County could apply <br />again next year, and Mr. Johnson explained that the opportunity <br />arises every fiscal year. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter.
