Ennis, P.E., Assistant Public Works Director <br />FROM: Kirstin Leiendecker, P.E., Roadway Production Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid No. 2022007 <br />66th Avenue and 8th Street Signalization Improvements <br />IRC -2002 <br />DATE: December 3, 2021 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />W <br />On February 11, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved Work Order No. 31 to <br />Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide survey, geotechnical investigation, and design <br />services to add traffic signal mast arm assemblies, roadway resurfacing, and pavement markings <br />at the intersection of 66th Avenue and 811 Street. The project will enhance safety for drivers on <br />both 66th Avenue and 8th Street by adding a signal. <br />The project was advertised for bids and a bid opening for the 66th Avenue and 8th Street <br />Signalization Improvements was held on November 17, 2021. Two (2) bids were received and <br />opened, with one bid being disqualified for failure to submit the bid form updated by Addendum <br />#1. Ferreira Construction Southern Division Co., Inc. has <br />completed various projects within the County in a satisfactory manner. <br />Please be informed that the current wait time for long -lead items such as mast arms and signal <br />controllers from the time of order to the time of delivery is averaging 6 -months.
