[71 <br />40 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-15 <br />e. A representative of recreational boaters, <br />preferably a person affiliated with a recreational boating <br />organization. <br />2. The terms of the Marine Advisory Board members <br />shall be two years, and a member may serve no more than <br />three terms in succession. Members serve at the pleasure of <br />the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County and <br />may be removed by a majority vote of the Board. Vacancies <br />in the Marine Advisory Board membership shall be filled by a <br />majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County. <br />3. The Marine Advisory Board shall have advisory <br />powers only. The Marine Advisory Board shall prepare and <br />recommend policies and, where possible, specific plans <br />relating to: <br />1. Preservation and enhancement of <br />recreational uses in the Indian River Lagoon. <br />2. Protection and improvement of water <br />quality and marine habitat in the Indian River Lagoon. <br />3. Minimization of adverse impacts on the <br />Indian River Lagoon from all forms of pollution, <br />development, and over -fishing. <br />4. Utilization of the Indian River Lagoon and <br />Its renewable_ resources in ways proven not to degrade water <br />quality, marine habitat, recreational utility and natural <br />beauty. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by <br />Commissioner___— Wheeler —_ and seconded by Commissioner <br />Bowman and, , being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Chairman Don C.
