s
respective non -spec effluent storage pond areas. As a
minimum, the ultimate (6.0) Million GPD treatment facilities
G will require a site area of (50) acres. This includes (10)
i acres for treatment plant construction and (40) acres for
(18) million gallons of non -spec effluent storage basins
needed for the ultimate (6) million GPD treatment facilities.
The treatment plant site will be in the vicinity of the
existing Kiwanis Hobart County Park and the highly treated
plant effluent from the first 1.0 million GPD treatment
plant will be provided to the recently opened Sandridge
County Golf Course for irrigation of the golf course. It
should be noted that the location of the proposed plant site
will also place it in relatively close proximity to several
surrounding exisiting and proposed golf courses and the
existing water main which presently crosses the Indian River
at the Wabasso bridge to furnish water from the mainland to
John's Island for irrigation of the John's Island Golf
Courses. Consequently, the proposed treatment plant location
will facilitate the delivery of highly treated effluent to
these other golf courses to satisfy their demands for golf
course irrigation water.
-23-
