• <br />Campground will be able to connect to the proposed system, as <br />an example, by installing a pumping station and force main <br />i <br />system and this will allow them to abandon their existing <br />package treatment plant. <br />The 24" force main continues to proceed south along the <br />west side of U.S. #1 and in the vicinity of Wabasso Road, the <br />proposed 24" force main moves off of U.S. M1 and onto Old <br />' w <br />Dixie Highway. It is proposed that the 24" force main will <br />provide arterial sewer service to the area north of Hobart <br />Road and east of the FEC Railroad. It is expected that the <br />Palm Paradise Park and Wabasso Mobile Home Park projects will <br />be connected to the 24" force main and this would allow for <br />the abandonment of their respective package treatment plants. <br />The 24" force main then turns west from the Old Dixie <br />Highway and crosses the FEC Railroad tracks to the proposed <br />County Subregional Treatment Plant site. <br />The proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant for this phase <br />of the project will have a design capacity of 1.0 million GPD <br />and be designed as a secondary treatment plant with tertiary <br />treatment sand filters. It is anticipated that the ultimate <br />treatment plant capacity to be accommodated by the plant site <br />will be 5 to 6 million GPD. The County is presently in final <br />negotiations for the acquisition of the necessary lands to <br />accommodate the wastewater treatment plant(s) and their <br />-22- <br />
