40
It is proposed that the existing Park Place pumping
station be retro -fitted as part of this project and an 8"
f
force main constructed east from the existing Park Place
pumping station along Stratton Avenue and discharge into the
24" force main to be constructed along the west side of U.S.
#1. A 6" force main i.s shown and proposed to be constructed
from Stratton Avenue northward to provide for the connection
of the Breezy Village Mobile Home Park and New Horizons
Mobile Home Park into this system. The proposed 6" force
main would connect and discharge into the proposed 8" force
main to be constructed along Stratton Avenue. This would
allow the abondonment of the existing package treatment
plants at the New Horizons Mobile Home Park, the Breezy
Village Mobile Home Park and the Park Place development.
It is proposed that the existing Pelican Pointe pumping
station be retro -fitted and a 6" force main constructed from
it for discharge into the 24" force main along the west side
of U.S. #1. The Pelican Pointe package treatment plant could
then be abandoned.
The 24" diameter force main continues south along the
west side of U.S. #1 and it is anticipated that existing and
future development east of the FEC Railroad and west of the
i
Indian River will connect to this force main by means of
small pumping stations and/or grinder pumps.
