The existing River Run pumping station will be
retro -fitted to serve a sub -area of approximately 72 acres
and discharge via a 6" diameter force main south along the
east side of U.S. Highway #1 and connect to the existing 6"
force main which serves the Reflections project and presently
crosses U.S. Highway #1. The Reflections pump station will
serve a sub -area of approximately 43 acres and be
retro -fitted to meet a design capacity as required to be
integrated into the proposed sewer project. The sewage from
both River Run pumping station and Relections pumping station
will discharge into the 20" diameter force main along the
west side of U.S. #1. Thus, the River Run pumping station
will allow a phase out of the existing River Run sewage
package plant.
The 20" diameter force main is increased to a 24"
diameter force main at the point of connection of the
existing Reflections pumping station/River Run pumping
station 6" force main at the west side of U.S. #1. The 24"
force main then continues south along the west side of U.S.
#1. The 24" diameter force main is sized to provide capacity
for the connection of the Whispering Palms Mobile Home Park
into the system and this would allow the existing Whispering
Palms package plant and the Whispering Palms Too package
plant to be abandoned.
-20-
