First Resolution 7/25188.1(UTIL)Resot(Pearce/Vk) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88- 49 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROVIDING FOR <br />THE ASSESSMENT FOR POTABLE WATER MAIN ON THE WEST <br />SIDE OF U.S. NO. 1 SOUTH OF OSLO ROAD DESIGNATED <br />AS PROJECT UW87-03-DS AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION <br />NECESSITATED BY SUCH PROJECT; PROVID114G FOR THE <br />DEFRAYING OF THE EXPENSES THERETO BY SPECIAL <br />ASSESSMENT: PROVIDING THE MANNER AND TIME WHEN <br />SAID ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE PAID, DESIGNATING THE <br />LANDS UPON WHICH SUCH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE <br />LEVIED, AND ESTIMATING THE TOTAL COST OF THE <br />PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County does hereby determine that the assessments for <br />the property located with boundaries as described in this <br />title, designated as Project No. UW87-03-DS, are necessary <br />to promote the public welfare of the county; and <br />WHEREAS, the expense thereof shall be defrayed by <br />special assessments, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: <br />1. The County does hereby determine that an 8 -inch <br />water main shall be installed approximately 3,750 feet, <br />through the designated portions of the above-described <br />area, as shown on attached Exhibit "A," and that the <br />project shall be constructed in accordance with the <br />provisions of 411-42 through 411-47, of the Code of Laws and <br />Ordinances of Indian River County. <br />2. That the total estimated cost of the <br />above-described improvements is shown to be $96,328.74 of <br />which 100% is to be paid by property specially benefited. <br />3. That the estimated special assessment sum shall be <br />assessed against and paid by all lots and lands adjoining <br />and contiguous or bounding and abutting upon the <br />improvements or specially benefited thereby and further <br />designated by the assessment plat with respect to the <br />special assessments, by the following method: <br />a. Square foot of the given parcels basis (each <br />parcel's total square footage divided by the total project <br />area times the estimated cost) <br />b. The respective assessments shall be due and <br />payable in full within 90 days after the completion and <br />
