RESOLUTION No. 74-52 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, has heretofore in cooperation with the City <br />® Council of the City of Vero Beach, Florida, established a Bicycle <br />Path Study Committee, and <br />` <br />WHEREAS, said Committee has proposed an integrated bicycle <br />trail system for Indian River. County and Vero Beach, Florida, and <br />WHEREAS, there are presently sidewalks along certain <br />primary roads in Indian River County and in Vero Beach, Florida, that <br />are suitable for bicycle trails and are part of the proposed integrated <br />bicycle trail system for the County and City, and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation by law under the <br />authority of Florida Statute 335. 065 "shall cooperate" in the develop- <br />ment of integrated bicycle trails and has the authority to designate <br />bicycle trails, <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it <br />requests the Department of Transportation, State -of Florida, to <br />designate the existing sidewalks on each side of State Road 60 from <br />20th Avenue in the City of Vero Beach to Kings Highway, State Road <br />505A as a designated bicycle trail. <br />BO_iRD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By_a <br />Chairman <br />AT L'ST- This 20th day of June 1974, <br />Clerk <br />
