Chairman Adams asked for confirmation that the request for a <br />90 -day extension is due to the weather, and Mr. McCain responded <br />that it predominantly is due to the weather. McCAIN <br />AND STAFFED CAPITAL PROJECTS E G <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY S RVICES <br />SUBJECT: WEST REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION, <br />ENGINEERING WORK AUTHORIZATION AMENDMENT. <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO US -93 -04 -DC <br />Background <br />On April 27, 1993 the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved an engineering services contract with <br />Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., for the above -referenced project. As a <br />result of additions to the scope of engineering services and time <br />extensions on the duration of the project's construction, the <br />engineer has, per the articles in the contract, requested <br />additional compensation.
