This is why we have requested a 22.17% increase on the 2022-2023 Budget.
As you know, during covid our markets have grown and adapted. We now see drive market families as well as our pre-
covid demographic (which was northeast 55+ high-income). So in order to keep up with this rapid growth and avoid
being overshadowed by our competing destinations, we need more advertising dollars to stay relevant. This is why the
majority of this increase is going to Advertising ($102,000). Our plan is to use this money towards expanding existing
campaigns by staying consistent with our current markets and allowing us to remain active in our other markets
responsibly. In addition, we plan on adding new marketing initiatives with a year-long social campaign, exploring Trip
Advisor's Media Manager, partaking in a Brand USA Native Advertising Campaign, Melbourne Airport co-ops, and
relevant Visit Florida Co-op. Tourism is changing in Indian River, Florida, and even the world and we need to maintain
and grow to ensure we stay relevant and continue such a historic year.
The Organization's Board of Directors has approved this application on (date): 04/19/2022
Name of President/Chair of the Board:
Name of Exec.
