12/212022 <br />Update to the County's Variance Process <br />On August 16, 2022, The Board of County Commissioners directed <br />staff to re-examine the County's Variance process. <br />Staff looked at: <br />1. Application Fees <br />2. De -Minimus setbacks <br />3. Variance criteria <br />Update to the County's Variance Process <br />PROPOSED CHANGES: <br />1. Application Fees - Reduce the application fee from $1000 to <br />$500 for small-scale applications. <br />2. De -Minimus setbacks - Increase the De -minimus setback <br />variance to 1.0 foot (from .5 feet). <br />3. Variance criteria - Reduce the number of variance criteria from <br />8 to 4. <br />
