O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: January 31, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING - FEBRUARY 69 1996 <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 105.01 OF <br />THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE <br />On January 16, 1996 the Board of County Commissioners authorized <br />advertisement of the attached ordinance. The ordinance amends Section <br />105.01 to allow the County Administrator to handle small purchases of <br />right-of-way under $5,000. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends approval of the ordinance. <br />Chairman Adams opened the Public Hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously approved <br />Ordinance 96-04, amending Section 105.01 of the IRC <br />Code to authorize the County Administrator to <br />purchase on behalf of the County real property <br />costing $5,000 or less. <br />ORDINANCE 96- 04 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 105.01 OF THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO PURCHASE REAL <br />PROPERTY ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY COSTING <br />$59000 OR LESS. <br />WHEREAS, Section 105.01 of the County Code currently <br />authorizes the County Administrator to purchase or contract for <br />supplies, equipment, or services costing $5,000 or less; and <br />WHEREAS, the County, in its right-of-way acquisition program <br />purchases small portions of parcels of land for right-of-way; and <br />FEBRUARY 6, 1996 41 BOOK 97 F,� a M <br />
