Gentile, <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: As -Built Resolutions & Assessment Rolls for Paving and Drainage <br />Improvements to: <br />1) 14th Street East of U.S. #1 <br />DATE: February 21, 1996 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The paving of the above roads has been completed. The final assessments are as follows: <br />Preliminary Estimates <br />$28,494.20 - 100% <br />$21,370.65 - 75% <br />(1018.62 Front Footage) <br />$20.98/per FF <br />Final Cost <br />$28,494.20 - 100% <br />$21,370.65 - 75%* <br />(1018.62 Front Footage) <br />$20.98/per FF <br />*This figure includes 2% Tax Collector's fee. <br />At the March 21, 1995, public hearing, staff was instructed to review the assessments for <br />Home & Patio, Inc., and Dependable Dodge. The Public Works Department recommends <br />increasing the credit for Dependable Dodge to $3,000.00 from the original $1,883.24. Also, <br />Public Works has negotiated a credit of $3,166.87 for work Home & Patio, Inc. previously <br />provided on 14th Street and Home & Patio's assessment has been credited $3,166.87. <br />At the March 28, 1995, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the Board unanimously <br />approved funding of the paving assessment for the Council on Aging's assessment from the <br />transportation fund contingency. <br />The final assessment roll has been prepared and is ready to be delivered to the Clerk to the <br />Board. Assessments are to be paid within 90 days or in 2 equal installments, the first to be <br />made twelve months from the due date and subsequent payments to be due yearly from the <br />due date at an interest rate of 81/2% established by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />45 <br />March 5, 1996 <br />
