WISEMEN, P.E ?so <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: HOBART LANDING WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />LABOR CONTRACT, WORK AUTHORIZATION -NO. 30 <br />1 FINAL PAYMENT REQUEST <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -94 -21 -DS <br />BACKGROUND AND ANALYS <br />On April 11, 1995, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />Labor Contract, Work Authorization No. 30, with Driveways, Inc., in <br />the amount of $75,794.48. On September 26, 1995, the Board of <br />County Commissioners approved Change Order No. 1, which adjusted <br />the contract amount to $78,197.62. The project has been completed <br />and accepted by the County. Also, the replacement line has been <br />cleared for service by the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Protection. A previous payment made to the contractor to date was <br />$69,293.37, leaving a balance of $8,904.25 including retainage. <br />The contractor has submitted a payment request to the County in the <br />amount of $8,904.25. <br />REMP-D ENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the final payment request in <br />the amount of $8,904.25 for services rendered. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />final payment of $8,904.25 to Driveways, Inc., as <br />recommended by staff. <br />FINAL PAYMENT IS ON -FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />45 <br />MARCH 12, 1996 poor 97 PAE536 53 <br />
