WHEREAS, approximately $1,900,000 was spent in Palm Beach <br />County on deinstitutionalization programs with no corresponding <br />expenditure in the remaining four (4) Counties whatsoever,* and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that the District Board utilized State <br />funding for Mental Health and alcohol programs amounting to $10.60 <br />per capita in Palm Beach County and only $6.54 per capita in the <br />remaining counties.* <br />[*Note: Data supplied by Reference to "Analysis of Mental <br />Health District Board Allocation and Plans Affecting the Four County <br />Psychiatric Inpatient Services" prepared by Indian River Community <br />Health Center Inc., December 14, 1981.1 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that: <br />1. Mental Health Board No. 9, Inc. is requested to review <br />its funding and service allocation practices to assure that citizens <br />of Indian River County receive a fair, non-discriminatory share, and <br />2. Copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Board of <br />County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Okeechobee County, and <br />Martin County. <br />The foregoing Resolution is offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption.
