RESOLUTION NO. 82-25 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY DIRECTING COUNTY <br />DEPOSITORIES TO HONOR CERTAIN AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES <br />ON COUNTY WARRANTS AND OTHER ORDERS FOR PAYMENT. <br />WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY on January 6, 1982, held an election for the office of <br />Chairman and Vice -Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, and <br />WHEREAS, the County Commission did nominate and select DON C. <br />SCURLOCK, JR. as Chairman and A. GROVER FLETCHER as their Vice - <br />Chairman, and <br />WHEREAS, FREDA WRIGHT was elected Clerk of the Circuit Court <br />of Indian River County effective January 4, 1977, and also serves as <br />a Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners pursuant to Florida <br />Statutes Sec. 125.17, and <br />WHEREAS, it is now necessary to re -instruct the County's <br />depositories as to the signatures necessary to honor County warrants, <br />checks or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the <br />Commission's name. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, sitting in regular session that: <br />1. The County Commission has in the past designated certain <br />banking institutions as official depositories of County funds, such <br />designations are hereby ratified and affirmed, and <br />2. That each designated depository of the Commission is <br />hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor checks, warrants or <br />other orders for the payment of money drawn in the Commission's name, <br />including those payable to the individual order of any person or <br />persons whose name or names appear thereon, when bearing the facsimile <br />signature of the Chairman of the County Commission and the facsimile <br />signature of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, when said check, warrants <br />or other orders for the payment of money equals or does not exceed the <br />sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00), and <br />WHEREAS, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if a check, warrant or <br />other order for the payment of money drawn in the Commission's name <br />exceeds the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00); said designated <br />-1- <br />
