CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />TERRANCE G. <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILITY SE ICES <br />JAMES D.CHASTO <br />&V <br />MANAGER OF ASSNT PROJECTS <br />DEPARTMENT OFLITY SERVICES <br />PETITION FOR WATER SERVICE IN PONDEROSA ESTATES <br />UNIT ONE (60TH AVENUE, SOUTH OF 45TH STREET) <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -96 -06 -DS <br />A petition has been received from the residents of Ponderosa <br />Estates Unit One (60th•Avenue, south of 45th Street) requesting the <br />County to supply potable water to its residents. We are now coming <br />to the Board of County Commissioners to seek approval to begin <br />design of the above-mentioned project. (See attached petition and <br />plat map.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />Within the project area, there are 25 platted lots and 10 non - <br />platted parcels, from .34 acres and upwards. The 9 non -platted <br />parcels along 45th Street which will benefit from the <br />improvement/ service, vary from 1.31 acres to 19.95 acres. The <br />owners' signing the petition represent 775 of the properties to be <br />served. <br />The attached map displays the area to benefit from the assessment <br />project. This project is to be paid through the assessment of <br />property owners along the proposed water line route. In the <br />interim, financing will be through the use of impact fee funds. <br />Design services will be provided by the Department of Utility <br />Services. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends approval <br />of the above -listed project authorizing the Department to proceed <br />with the design engineering work in preparation for the special <br />assessment project. <br />MARCH 26, 1996 <br />37 60®K 97 PAGE ?i 4 <br />
