CHAST <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ASS S NT PROJECTS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: VERO BEACH HIGHLANDS WATER EXPANSION <br />RESOLUTION IV - FINAL ASSESSMENT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -94 -01 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On March 21, 1995, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved Resolution III, No. 95-48, for the <br />preliminary assessment roll on the above -referenced project. <br />Construction of the project has been completed. We are now ready <br />to begin customer, connections and request the Board of County <br />Commissioners' - approval of the final assessment roll. (See <br />attached minutes and Resolution IV.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />The preliminary assessment was for an estimated cost of <br />$942;498.35, which equated to $0.108738 per square foot of property <br />assessed. The final assessment (see attached Resolution IV and the <br />accompanying assessment roll) is in the amount of $883,172.58, <br />which equates to a cost of $0.102723 per square foot. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />"Board of County Commissioners approve adoption of Resolution IV. <br />M <br />April 9, 1996 <br />BOOK 97 PAGE 796 <br />
