Tuesday, April 23, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, April 23, 1996, <br />at 9:00 a.m. Present were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Carolyn K. <br />Eggert, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Kenneth R. Macht; and John <br />W. Tippin. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia <br />Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Eggert led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDATMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Eggert requested addition of item 13.B. <br />concerning HRS meetings to be held May 20 and 21, 1996. <br />Commissioner Eggert also requested withdrawal of item 11.A.3., <br />tax abatement, to bring it back within the next few weeks with the <br />job grants, because they are somewhat parallel items. <br />Chairman Adams requested addition of items 13.A., Indian River <br />Lagoon National Estuary Program; 7.F., a proclamation for Teen <br />Pregnancy Prevention Awareness Week; and 7.G., the re-establishment <br />of Al Mitchell as a member of the Beach and Shore Preservation <br />Advisory Committee. <br />Administrator Chandler requested deletion of item 7.C., <br />vertical mowing, which will not be needed this year because of the <br />award of the golf course contract last week. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />added and deleted the above items to the <br />Agenda. <br />01 <br />April 23, 1996 <br />IM T TAa 855 <br />
