RESOLUTION NO. 84 - 31 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, DIRECTING COUNTY <br />DEPOSITORIES TO HONOR CERTAIN AUTHORIZED <br />SIGNATURES ON COUNTY WARRANTS AND OTHER ORDERS <br />FOR PAYMENT. <br />WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY on January 4, 1984 held an election for the office of <br />Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County Commission did nominate and select <br />DON C. SCURLOCK, JR., as CHAIRMAN and PATRICK B. LYONS as VICE <br />CHAIRMAN, and <br />WHEREAS, FREDA WRIGHT was elected CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT <br />COURT OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY effective January 4, 1977, and also <br />serves as a CLERK TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS pursuant to <br />Florida Statutes §125.17, and <br />WHEREAS, it is now necessary to rei_,struct the County's <br />depositories as to the signatures necessary to honor County <br />warrants, checks or other orders for the payment of money drawn <br />in the Commission's name. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, sitting in regular session <br />that: <br />1. The County Commission has in the past designated <br />certain banking institutions as official depositories of County <br />funds, such designations are hereby ratified and affirmed, and <br />2. That each designated depository of the Commission is <br />hereby requested, authorized and directed to honor checks, warrants <br />or other orders for payment of money drawn in the Commission's <br />name, including those payable to the individual order of any person <br />or persons whose name or names appear thereon, when bearing the <br />facsimile signature of the Chairman of the County Commission and <br />the facsimile signature of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, when <br />said check, warrants or other orders for the payment of money, <br />equals or does not exceed the sum of Three Thousand Dollars <br />($3,000.00). <br />1 <br />
