Tuesday, May 14, 1996 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, May 14, 1996, at <br />9:00 a.m. Present were Fran B. Adams, Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, <br />Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Kenneth R. Macht; and John W. <br />Tippin. Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia Ridgely, Deputy <br />Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Administrator <br />Chandler led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Adams requested that item 7.B. be removed from the <br />Consent Agenda so that the proclamation might be presented and <br />asked for the addition of item 13.A., Citizens' Review Committee. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously made <br />the changes to the Agenda as requested by the <br />Chairman. <br />PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING HURRICANE AWARENESS WEEK <br />(originally 7.B.) <br />Chairman Adams read the following proclamation and presented <br />it to Nathan McCollum, Radiological Emergency Analyst, of Emergency <br />Services Department. <br />1 <br />May 14, 1996 <br />5009 0 <br />
