Authorization to Prepare Proclamation <br />The Board reviewed the following letter dated 5/14/96: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: May 14, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: PROCLAMATION <br />The Treasure Coast Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association has <br />requested that a Proclamation be issued recognizing, "National Korean <br />War Veterans Assistance Day". The request is,attached. <br />Recommend that staff prepare an appropriate proclamation. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the preparation of a proclamation recognizing <br />National Korean War Veterans Assistance Day. <br />A Acquisition of Road Right -of -Way - Kings <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/13/96: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney47� <br />DATE: May 13, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: ACQUISITION ON ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY (KING'S <br />HIGHWAY) <br />As part of the widening of King's Highway the County has been <br />acquiring right-of-way. There are three remaining parcels necessary <br />for the completion of the project that have not been acquired and the <br />owners have not shown an interest in voluntarily selling a portion of <br />these parcels for right-of-way. The attached Resolution would <br />authorize condemnation. <br />It is recommended that the attached Resolution be adopted as the first <br />step in the acquisition of these parcels. <br />12 <br />MAY 219 1996 BOOK 98 PAGE i.9' <br />
