I?fi <br />Consent Agenda <br />Indian River County <br />Interoffice Memorandum <br />Office of Management & Budget <br />To: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />From: Kristin Daniels <br />Director, Office of Management & Budget <br />Date: March 15, 2023 <br />Subject: Fourth of July Fireworks Funding <br />Background Information <br />For many years, Indian River County has provided assistance in funding Fourth of July firework <br />displays in the City of Vero Beach and the City of Sebastian. The City of Sebastian and the City of <br />Vero Beach have requested assistance in funding their celebrations this year. In most years, the <br />County has contributed $2,500 each to the City of Sebastian and the City of Vero Beach, after each of <br />the agencies appropriated and paid an equal amount up to $2,500. <br />Funding <br />Funding in the amount of $5,000 is currently budgeted and available for the firework displays in MSTU <br />Fund/Recreation/Special Events, Account #00410872-041110. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve funding the firework displays for <br />the Cities of Sebastian and Vero Beach in the amount of $2,500 each.
