Childcare Resources of Indian River <br />Children in Centers <br />Grant amount: $250,000 <br />Funds used: $250,000 <br />Total children served: 165 <br />Contracting center children served: 49 <br />Cost per child: $12,693.81 <br />Focus Area: Early Childhood Development; Building Parent Capacity <br />Program Description: Childcare Resources provides high quality, affordable childcare and <br />education for children, ages six weeks to five years. Childcare Resources builds parent capacity <br />by enabling parents to focus on their careers and higher education while their children receive <br />dependable care. <br />Collaboration: The following is a list of collaborative partners related to Children in Centers: <br />• Agency Name: Kidz Closet Charities - Childcare Resources provides a clothing closet for <br />families enrolled in the program. Clothing is donated from Kidz Closet Charities. <br />• Agency Name: Tykes & Teens - Childcare Resources collaborates with Tykes & Teens to <br />provide mental health services for children ages birth - 5 years old. <br />• Agency Name: Redlands Christian Migrant Association - Childcare Resources collaborates <br />and contracts with RCMA on the school readiness Childcare Executive Partnership Program. <br />• Agency Name: Mental Health Association - Program provides counseling and psycho- <br />educational evaluations to adults and children enrolled in the Childcare Resources program. <br />• Agency Name: Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County - Childcare <br />Resources and the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association participate in multigenerational <br />activities collaboratively. Currently on hold because of Covid-19. <br />• Agency Name: Homeless Children's Foundation - Collaborative pilot project enrolling <br />children referred by HCF into the Childcare Resources School. <br />• Agency Name: Shining Light Garden - Shining Light Garden provides fresh produce weekly <br />to the families of Childcare Resources. <br />• Agency Name: SAFE Families for Children - Childcare Resources assists SAFE Families in <br />providing childcare for families in crisis. <br />• Agency Name: Moonshot Community Action Network (MCAN) - Childcare Resources <br />supports the Moonshot Moment by attending monthly Moonshot Community Action <br />Network (MCAN) meetings. Childcare Resources also participates in Moonshot Moment <br />goal initiatives and programs. <br />1. Young children have access to high quality learning experiences in home, community <br />and early childhood care and education settings which prepare them to enter school ready to <br />learn. <br />128 <br />
