Outcome # 2: IRC Healthy Start Babies and Beyond program participants have improved <br />access to prenatal and postpartum preventative care services to improve infant development <br />and health. <br />Goal Results: 82% Overall <br />• 100%/ 118 out of 118 prenatal women and family participants increased their <br />knowledge and awareness of labor and delivery techniques that enhanced a positive <br />birth outcome/experience. Data pulled from prenatal classes. <br />• 64%/ 569 out of 893 postpartum program participants received a preventative care <br />home visit by a registered nurse who counsels and identifies possible adverse conditions <br />of the mother and developing infant. Data pulled from Nurse Home Visitation. <br />Outcome # 3: Women initiate and maintain breastfeeding with their infant to decrease <br />associated risk factors of obesity in children. <br />Goal Results: 83% Overall <br />• 87%/ 747 out of 861 all mother's giving birth at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital <br />will initiate breastfeeding at the bedside. Data pulled from beside education. <br />• 79%/ 676 of 861 program participants received support by a home visit, follow-up <br />phone calls at 3 -days, and 6 -weeks, as well as, referrals to IBCLC professional when <br />necessary.
