Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition <br />Healthy Families of Indian River County <br />Grant amount: $36,800.00 <br />Funds used: $36,799.98 (Q1 = $6,133.34 + Q2 = $15,333.33 + Q3 = $3,066.67 + Q4 = <br />$12,266.64) <br />Total families served: 306 (Q1 = 72 + Q2 = 72 + Q3 = 77 + Q4 = 85) <br />Cost per client: CSAC funds used per family: $120.26. <br />Focus Area: Early Childhood Development; Building Parent Capacity <br />Program Description: Healthy Families Indian River County is an accredited home -visiting <br />program for expectant parents and parents of newborns three -months and younger <br />experiencing stressful life situations. The program improves childhood outcomes and increases <br />family self-sufficiency by empowering parents through educations and community support. <br />Parents voluntarily participate in Healthy Families so they can learn how to recognize and <br />respond to their babies changing developmental needs, use positive discipline techniques cope <br />with day-to-day stress of parenting in healthy ways, and set and achieve short- and long-term <br />goals. <br />Outcome # 1: Children and families have improved access to high quality preventative care. <br />• 80% of children will have an improved and on time childhood immunization adherence. <br />For decreasing the risk of preventable childhood diseases. <br />Goal Results: 100% Overall <br />Outcome # 2: Families will have increased access to mental health services. <br />• 90% of participants will have the postnatal Edinburgh administered after the target <br />child's birth, according to HFF policy. <br />Goal Results: 100% Overall <br />Outcome # 3: Parent education to increase attunement and promote learning from birth. <br />• 80% of families will have received at least 75% of home visits as prescribed by the leveling <br />system. <br />Goal Results: 97% Overall <br />161 <br />
