Redlands Christian Migrant Association, Inc. (RCMA) <br />Infant & Toddler Childcare <br />Grant: $75,500 <br />Funds Used: $75,500 <br />Total Children Served: 112 Infant/Toddler <br />Focus Area: Early Childhood Development <br />Program Description: This program is designed to positively impact the lives of farmworker and <br />rural poor families by providing high quality child care, kindergarten readiness activities and <br />family support services that empower parents to become leaders in their children's education. <br />1. Outcome #1: 100% of children in RCMA early childhood education programs will <br />receive health screenings and developmental assessments within 45 days of enrollment. <br />There was a total of 34 new enrollments for the 2021-2022 year. <br />26 infant/toddler children were enrolled during this quarter <br />• 26 children obtained a physical exam and are up-to-date. <br />• 26 children have their immunizations up-to-date <br />• 0 is scheduled to be screened <br />Hearing screenings <br />• 24 children passed and are up-to-date <br />• 2 failed — referred for follow-up <br />• 0 is scheduled to be screened <br />Vision screenings <br />• 26 children passed and are up-to-date <br />• 0 failed — referred for follow-up <br />• 0 is scheduled to be screened <br />COR Assessments <br />• All children were assessed and continue to show overall gains as compared to baseline <br />assessments. <br />2. Outcome #2: 100% of classrooms will be staffed with correct teacher -to -child ratios to <br />ensure an increase in the number of children served at RCMA early childhood education <br />programs in Indian River County. <br />26 children were enrolled during this 4th quarter reporting period. The program has <br />served a total of 44 children to date. We will continue to make enrollment of infants and <br />toddlers a priority as qualifying families apply for the program. A waiting list is kept to <br />replace children who leave the program. <br />Two teachers are staffed in each classroom to maintain proper teacher -child ratios. <br />Teachers are receiving coaching / professional development to further assist with <br />classroom support. <br />175 <br />
