3. Outcome #3: 85% of children enrolled in RCMA early childhood education programs <br />will make progress over time increasing their language, literacy and communication skills to a <br />developmentally appropriate level. <br />• During the last period of observations, 95% of children assessed exited our program <br />meeting or exceeding expectations in social emotional skills for their age. Children of all <br />ages did the best in gross motor skills. Children of all ages did the best in gross motor <br />skills. <br />• Teachers use the results in order to individualize classroom activities to enhance skill <br />development in the focus areas of improvement <br />• Results are also discussed with parents. <br />EOY Summary: <br />• During this contract year the agency was able to serve a total of 112 children (all 4 <br />quarters combined). The agency uses a waiting list to replace children as they leave the <br />program so that we continuously provide services to children and their families in need of <br />quality care and education in Indian County. 100% of eligible children enrolled in the <br />program were able to be assessed based on their enrollment date. <br />• Classrooms were staffed with multiple teachers to maintain proper teacher -child ratio. <br />• Overall developmental gains were indicated in the COR assessment conducted this <br />contracting period. <br />• Over 90% of the children served in RCMA early childhood education programs met or <br />exceeded expectations increasing their language, literacy and communication skills to a <br />developmentally appropriate level. <br />176 <br />
