� s � <br />CU_ <br />The Substance Abuse Council Advisory Board recommended four (4) programs as listed below: <br />*Indicates a continuation from the previous fiscal year. <br />The grand total of all four projects is $207,778.67. If a project cannot be implemented due to the <br />budget cuts, then the money allocated for the project will be redistributed to other projects already <br />listed. <br />The M.A.C.E. Unit and the Substance Abuse Council received their match from Indian River County <br />Board of County Commission funds since they are agencies of the County. The Conflict Resolution <br />Program received $14,478.75 from the School Board. New Horizons made the entire match <br />themselves. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board approve the Substance Abuse Councirs recommendations and authorize <br />the Board chairman to sign the grant applications and other necessary related documents. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, to approve the Substance Abuse <br />Council's recommendations for funding and authorize <br />the Chairman to sign the grant applications and <br />other necessary related documents. <br />Under discussion, OMB Director Joe Baird explained that <br />something new has come up. In the past we have funded the Conflict <br />Resolution program which is run by the School Board and have paid <br />the indirect cost (administrative cost), but this year it was <br />decided that we would not pay the indirect cost of $1,672.
