b) Students are identified as struggling readers in the lower 21st -50th percentile and <br />invited by SDIRC administration to participate in the program. <br />c) Teachers are hired to teach the program by TLA, in consultation with the MSA <br />Coordinator, through an application process. <br />d) Qualified staff is provided by IRCSWD to deliver the SIL Curriculum. All staff <br />will be provided up front professional development and training to support the <br />implementation of the program. <br />e) Participating entities will be a part of a continuous improvement reflection <br />process that includes a Before Action Review (BAR) and After Action Review <br />(AAR). <br />2) Any significant program changes need to be approved by all entities through <br />collaborative reflection. <br />IV. Joint Responsibilities for Communication and Development of Timelines <br />The group agrees to the following joint responsibilities -- <br />1) Each entity has appointed a key contact person for the 2023 Program as follows: <br />o IRCSWD: Alexis Peralta, aperalta(aircgov.com <br />o TLA Program Manager: Debbi Arseneaux, darseneaux(a,thelearningalliance.org <br />202-446-6940 <br />o MSA Coordinators: Mike Reed (CES), michael.reed(a),indianriverschools.org; <br />Ken Fass, kenneth.fass@indianriverschools.org <br />These key contacts will maintain frequent communication to facilitate cooperation under <br />this MOU. <br />2) These key contacts will work together to determine appropriate timelines for program <br />planning, updates, status reports, and program evaluation. <br />3) These key contacts will collaborate to provide appropriate training, professional <br />development, and support of teachers to implement the program. <br />2023 Important Dates/Times: <br />• June 1: professional development for staff <br />• June 2: planning & prep <br />• Program Dates: June 5-30 <br />• Program hours 8a -1:30p Monday -Friday <br />■ Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 8:45a -12p <br />■ Showcase on Thurs, June 29 <br />133 <br />
