Tourist development tax revenfies <br />can be used to fund the costs attributed to the overnight tourists using transient <br />rentals and paying the tourist development tax. The costs attributed to the other <br />four (4) user groups could be funded by any available remaining state grant <br />funds or other County general fund revenues such as sales tax revenues. The <br />application of these revenue sources to the different user groups is described in <br />subsequent sub -sections for each sector. <br />Storm Protection Benefits <br />It is feasible to attribute storm protection benefits to specific property uses based <br />on the benefit analysis used to compute the overall storm protection benefits for <br />the entire project area. Storm protection costs can be allocated to the fallowing <br />categories of property: <br />• Public Access <br />• Government land <br />• Private Property <br />Public access properties are defined as roadways and easements not identified <br />with a unique parcel identification number. Government land consists of <br />properties with specific property use codes assigned by the County Property <br />Appraiser designated with a governmental ownership or use.
