40 <br />Cil <br />a <br />(UGC01381.FMT):as <br />f SECTION 01381 <br />i <br />AUDIO-VISUAL DOCUMENTATION <br />r <br />' PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />Prior to commencing the Work, the Contractor shall have <br />a continuous color audio -video tape recording taken <br />along the entire length of the Project to serve as a <br />record of preconstruction conditions. The <br />preconstruction swale elevations shall be recorded at <br />100' intervals. <br />1.02 APPROVAL <br />No construction shall begin prior to review and <br />acceptance of the tapes covering the construction area <br />by the Owner or Engineer. The 'Engineer shall have the <br />authority to reject all or any portion of a videotape <br />not conforming to specifications and order that it be <br />redone at no additional charge. The Contractor shall <br />reschedule unacceptable coverage within five (5) days <br />after being notified. The 'Engineer shall designate <br />those areas, if any, to be omitted from or added to the <br />audio -video coverage. Tape recordings shall not be <br />made more than thirty (30) days prior to beginning of <br />construction in any area. All tapes and written <br />records shall become property of Owner. The tapes <br />shall be delivered to the Owner as soon as possible <br />after recording. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE. <br />The Contractor shall engage the services of a <br />professional electrographer. The color audio -video <br />tapes shall be prepared by a responsible commercial <br />firm known to be skilled and regularly engaged in the <br />business of preconstruction color audio -video tape <br />documentation. <br />01381--1 <br />
