4W <br />(UGC 02576.FMT)aa <br />SECTION 02576 <br />PAVEMENT, SIDEWALK, AND DRIVEWAY REPLACEMENT <br />PART I — GENERAL <br />i 1.01 REFERENCES <br />A. Section numbers and Article numbers specified are those contained in the <br />latest edition of the "Florida Department of Transportation Standard <br />Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction." <br />B. A City of Sebastian right-of-way permit and street opening permit is <br />required for excavation of paved areas within the City's right-of-way. <br />Any processing fees or bond fees required for right-of-way permit shall be <br />paid by the Contractor. The same requirements of the County's Code will <br />be acceptable for construction on City roads. <br />C. Indian River Code Chapter 312, Section 08 C. UtilityConstruction in the <br />Right -of -Way shall control where applicable. It is intended that the other <br />specifications contained herein are to be applied as more specific. In the <br />event of a conflict between a provision of Code Section 312.08 C and any <br />other provision of these specifications the more restrictive provision shall <br />apply. <br />D. 312.08 C — Utility construction within the right-of-way. All utility work <br />will require a right-of-way construction permit. Utility companies having <br />a valid franchise to operate in Indian River County will not be required to <br />pay a right-of-way permit fee. Utility companies not having a valid <br />franchise may be required to pay a user fee to be determined by the <br />Director of Public Works. The pennit application shall be submitted along <br />with the following information. <br />1. General application data and specific utility data. <br />2. Appropriate filing fee. <br />3. Three (3) sets of engineering plans which contain plan, profile and <br />cross-section views of the existing and proposed f2cilities <br />including all existing utilities, structures in the right-of-way within. <br />one hundred (100) feet of the improvement, and other pertinent <br />information. <br />4. Plans that show the following criteria are met:. <br />a. Utility placement shall be the proper depth and location as <br />approved by the Director of Public Works and Director of <br />Utiiity Services. <br />02576-1 <br />
