Maintenance: The Contractor shall, at his expense, maintain the planted areas in a satisfactory condition until final acceptance of the project. Such maintenance. shall include the filling, leveling, and repairing of any washed or eroded areas, as may be necessary. The Engineer, at any time, may require replanting of any areas in which the establishment of the grass stand does not appear to be developing satisfactorily. If a planted area must by replanted due to the Contractor's negligence, carelessness, or failure to provide routine maintenance of such area, such replacement shall be at the Contractor's expense. If replanting is necessary due to factors determined to be beyond the control of the Contractor, payment for replacement will be made under the appropriate contract pay items. END OF SEC TTON 02485--5
