Variations <br />exceeding one-third inch for any two <br />points within 10 feet shall not be <br />acceptable. Distribute concrete as <br />required to remove surface <br />irregularities, and refloat repaired <br />areas to provide a continuous smooth <br />finish. <br />3. Work edges of slabs, gutters, back top <br />edge of curb, and formed joints with an <br />edging tool, and round 10-1'211 radius, <br />unless otherwise indicated. Eliminate <br />any tool marks on concrete surface. <br />4. After completion of floating and when <br />excess moisture or surface sheen has <br />disappeared, broom finish sidewalks by <br />drawing a fine -hair broom across concrete <br />surface, perpendicular to a line of <br />pedestrian traffic. <br />5. Do not remove forms for '24 hours after <br />concrete has been placed. After form <br />removal, clean ends of joints and point - <br />up any minor honeycombed areas. <br />D. CURING: Protect and cure finished concrete <br />paving and walks, as required. Use moist - <br />curing methods for initial curing whenever <br />possible of approved concrete curing <br />compounds. <br />E. REPAIRS AND PROTECTION: <br />I. Repair or replace broken or defective <br />concrete, as directed by Engineer. <br />2. Drill test cores where directed by <br />Engineer, :when necessary to determine <br />magnitude of cracks or deiective areas. <br />Fill drilled core holes in satisfactory <br />pavement areas with Portland cement <br />concrete bonded to pavement with epoxy <br />resin grout. <br />3. Protect concrete from damage until <br />acceptance of work. When construction <br />traffic is permitted, maintain pavement <br />as clean as possible by removing surface <br />D2576 -1D <br />
