RECOMMENDATION• <br />Attached is a proposed agreement between SATLOC and Indian River County. Staff feels this is an <br />opportunity for the entire county and recommends approval. It is also requested the Boar&Chainnan be <br />authorized to execute this agreement. <br />General Services Director Sonny Dean advised the Board that <br />SATLOC is in the process of establishing 14 Global Positioning <br />System receiving stations over the entire country. The very <br />precise information gathered is used in farming and can be used for <br />surveying and mapping. The staff has completed the <br />in-house design and permitting. The correctional facility is <br />preparing to begin construction of their facilities. As the <br />project was set-up, Indian River County is to construct the Master <br />Planned lines on 74th Avenue from the landfill, south to 17th <br />Street, SW at that point the correctional facility will construct <br />west to their site. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The Utilities Department is proposing to utilize our current labor <br />construction contractor, Driveways, Inc., for the construction and <br />the purchase of materials through Davis Meter and Supply Company. <br />The construction costs are as follows: <br />1.
