UW -93 -26 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On July 18, 1995, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a contract with Treasure Coast Contracting, <br />Inc., for the aforementioned project. (See attached agenda item <br />and minutes) The project is now complete and the Utilities <br />Department is prepared to make final payment to the contractor. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The originally awarded contract amount was $1,366,538.00, Change <br />Order No. 3 (final) reflects a decrease of $27,777.00, equating to <br />a revised contract amount of $1,338,761.00. The reduction is <br />predominately due to quantity adjustments made in the field during <br />construction. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve both the final pay request <br />and change order as presented. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird; the Board unanimously approved <br />the final pay request and Change Order No. 3 to <br />Treasure Coast Contracting, Inc.; pursuant to <br />staff's recommendations. <br />CHANGE ORDER WILL BE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />JUNE 119 1996 37 <br />
