The County's Contract Manager shall oversee the temporary <br />marking of each patch reef deployment location in advance of reef unit deployment in order to assist the <br />subcontractor in the proper placement of reef units. 17te markcrs shall he colored buoys no less than 12 <br />inches in diameter and sufficiently anchored so that they will not drift oft' the designated deployment sites <br />prior to deployment. The Department will not pay for materials placed outside the permit areas as <br />described at the time of deployment. <br />9. The County's Contract Manager or County employee designated as an official observer shall remain on <br />site during the entire deployment phase of the operation and confirm the Differential GPS coordinates of the <br />individual placements as well as the maximum vertical relief of the constructed reefs <br />10. Both the County and its subcontractor shall have rel site current nautical charts of the Clcplovnlcnt <br />area, with the permitted site indicated on the chart, and the proposed patch reef coordinates. The County <br />observer shall also be in possession of a copy of the pernlit for the areas where tilt deployments are taking <br />place. <br />11. The County agrees to allow the Department to conduct on-site inspections of the saltwater artificial <br />fishing reef project before, during, and after the deployment. <br />LIABILITY AND RE, SPONSI13IL1TY FOR REEF MATERIALS <br />12. Upon initiation of rite construction of these reef units by alae County's subcontractor, all liability, risk <br />of loss and responsibility for the safe handling, storage, transportation and deployment of the luaterials <br />shall be borne by the subcontractor.
