B. Materials supplied by the Contractor. <br />i. Contractor will furnish all material, labor, supervision and equipment <br />necessary to complete the job that is not specifically listed as <br />furnished by the County and Is necessary to ensure timely, effective <br />and safe completion of the project. <br />V, MATERIAL. PLACEMENT <br />A. Unforeseen Conditions <br />The Contractor shall pr®mptly notify the County, in writing, of any <br />circumstances differing from those indicated or referred to in the contract <br />documents. The County will review the situation and advise the Contractor <br />of its recommendations before the Contractor shall proceed further. <br />B. Land Transportation <br />The Contractor shall coordinate with the concrete donor (FEC) to transport <br />the materials from the donors' property to the waterfront staging area. <br />Material pick up will be coordinated in advance with the County Project <br />Manager and the donors. Concrete materials are available from the donor <br />in Fort Pierce materials yard. Please contact Joe Andreu (FEC) to <br />coordinate, <br />C. Staging Area <br />The Contractor shall provide an appropriate waterfront staging area from <br />which to load the materials for transportation to the reef site. <br />D. Material Placement <br />1. Contractor shall use a Coast Guard approved load line certified barge <br />or other suitable vessel for offshore movement, including a sufficiently <br />powered transport to towing vessel, personnel, and all necessary <br />equipment to transport the material offshore and deploy it. The tug or <br />transport vessel as well as the County's vessel shall be equipped with <br />a working, accurate Differential GPS unit, a fathometer, and a working <br />VHF radio. Effective and reliable communications shall exist at all <br />times between the tug, barge, and the designated County observer on <br />site. <br />2. The Contractor shall have on site current nautical charts of the <br />deployment area, with the permitted site indicated on the chart, and <br />the proposed reef area coordinates. <br />S. Reef material loaded on to the transporting vessel must be properly <br />secured to allow for its safe transport during both inshore and offshore <br />transits. <br />4. Deployment operations will only be initiated when sea height in the <br />operations area is no greater than two to four feet as forecast by the <br />nearest NOAA weather office. The County observer reserves the <br />right to suspend off-loading operations if positioning and other <br />deployment objectives are not being met.
