Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final July 12, 2023 <br />Proposed millage is 1. 1506, 10.55% above rolled back. <br />The proposed budget is $49,903,560, an increase of $4,608,322. <br />TRANSPORTATION FUND <br />The proposed budget is $23,238,226, an increase of $1,373,648. <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT <br />Proposed millage is 2.3531, 10.45% above rolled back. <br />The proposed budget is $59,144,806 an increase of $1,654,420. <br />The proposed Aggregate Millage rate is 6.1307. <br />JOHN A. TITKANICH, JR., COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />Discussion among the Board ensued following the presentation of the final budget <br />numbers. Commissioner Loar noted that the budget message and numbers show that <br />2022/23 was a robust year, however indicators suggest 2023/24 may be less so. <br />Administrator Titkanich agreed that the decrease in fees related to housing purchases <br />reflected economists' forecasts of a slower coming year. <br />The item closed with the board giving thanks to staff for creating a flat budget which <br />included several changes to accommodate the County's growth. <br />There were no comments from the public. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher, seconded by Vice Chairman <br />Adams, to approve the millage rates for the 2023124 proposed budget as <br />presented.
